Reading is the number one passion for Dr Balakrishnan, primarily mystery and suspense thrillers. She is an ardent follower of Jeffrey Archer's collection of books. She also unashamedly owns a mini library of chick-lits and recently been exploring life-changing inspirational books.

Traveling

As much as she abhors the long-hauled journey, Dr Balakrishnan enjoys going-places, literally that is. She has solo-traveled Europe and Asia extensively, including the Grand Canyon and Cape Point. Unlike the typical traveler, museums, art galleries and libraries are NEVER part of her travel itinerary, neither is the expected culinary exploration. Instead, shopping and nature sight-seeing makes up the must-do in her itinerary.
